Hey ya'll, just wanted to touch base and share a little about what's been going on in my life off the mat.
This week has been pretty stressful and I am looking forward to working a half day today, doing a quick photoshoot tomorrow for the April project and other than that, just relaxing. I have a breakfast planned with a friend tomorrow, and on Sunday I'll go visit my gram (who just got a puppy!), and see my dad as well.
Last month I went to New Orleans for my friend's wedding, and it was such a great time. I got to see friends I hadn't seen in years, I ate the BEST food (the avocado toast here is the unreal, and I ate here three times - all the food was insane), and I even got a good workout in (say whaaaat?! Feel like that never happens...).
In other news, I'm really excited to share an update on my fitness goals/nutrition next week. I've made some interesting discoveries and I feel so good and am seeing progress again. If I could speak with emojis I'd say I'm feeling about as good as the Flamenco dancer girl, woop! I've been sharing my workouts here and there on snapchap (@yogaby_candace). I've been doing the CrossFit Open this year just for fun, and it has been so much fun! I'm psyched for today, which is the last one - thrusters and burpees - shouldn't be too terrible!!
In unrelated news, instagram is now using an algorithm to "curate" what you see when you log into your feed. Instead of seeing everything from everyone you follow, you'll be shown just what instagram things you want to see. In order to see things from the people you follow, you'll need to interact more (likes and comments) or click on the three dots above the caption, and select "Turn on notification posts." If you do the latter, you'll be notified every time that person posts. The whole situation is kind of annoying, right?
Lastly, Sweaty Betty is having a 25% friends and family sale. Just use the code SBFAMILY. They also have free shipping and returns so it's easy breezy. They just sent me this long sleeved shirt (pictured at the top of this post) that I love for it's boxy fit and thumb holes. They also sent these pants which have a mesh insert along the leg and are reversible with a gusset and thick fabric.
And, speaking of Sweaty Betty, if you're local to NYC area, I'll be teaching at their SoHo store in April - stay tuned for details!
I hope you guys have a great weekend, and a wonderful Easter Sunday, if you celebrate. xo
