I've been putting in some work at the gym, so I've been exceptionally sore lately. The best remedy when you're sore is rest, epsom salt baths, water with a little tart cherry juice, and restorative yin yoga.
In today's restorative yoga video, we'll be using a bolster, a blanket and two foam blocks. I prefer foam blocks for restorative yin because they have a little bit of give to them, so you don't feel like you're being stabbed when you relaxing into the pose! As always, I recommend using what you have if you are fresh out of bolsters and blocks. Get creative and look around your house. A couch cushion can double as a bolster, and a thick book can double as a yoga block. Don't let not having the props prevent you from doing this practice. Restorative yin is one of the best ways to de-stress, reduce anxiety, and improve flexibility, so it is definitely something I recommend incorporating into your practice as often as you can.
