Read MoreLast month my book club read Buy the F*cking Lillies which I probably wasn’t the target audience for (I feel like it’d be really great for someone just out of college or starting their very first job and feeling extreme overwhelm over having to suddenly be an adult with responsibilities), but despite the fact that I may not have been the target reader, I took a few gems from it. One of the little life lessons was he idea of trying to keep your home dinner party ready at all times. The author talks about picking up the home frequently, rather than waiting until it becomes overwhelming. It’s not groundbreaking stuff, but I am the person who, before moving in with my neat freak boyfriend, wait until it is a complete mess and then feel overwhelmed by it all.
She also talks about finding homes for everything and avoiding having little piles of stuff everywhere. That’s another thing I can be guilty of. Piles of unread mail, random papers, etc will just start to slowly cave in on me if I’m not careful. Not that people are stopping by my house randomly these days, since we’re still in the middle of a pandemic, but an overall cleaner home just keeps me feeling mentally at ease, and I thought I’d share that tip with you, too.

Typically at the end of the month I like to do a little reflection and self-evaluation in my planner. At the top of the year, I had set goals, and then each month I work towards those goals, so it makes sense to reflect at the end of the month.
This month, I’m really proud of what I’ve been able to do. I signed three large deals that enabled me to upgrade my filming equipment and expand the equipment for my studio and home gym.
I also got a new personal training client whom I adore, and I feel really good with my roster of clients. I think if I had one more person I would probably stop taking people on, because I really do feel like I have just the right amount of in person clients to balance out all the computer work I need to do.
I made a commitment to myself at the top of the year to do one thing each week to have fun, so I’ve been taking extra dance classes, which has been so fun because I finally feel like I’m making progress. I’m picking up choreography faster than I ever have before.
I also started working out with more intention, as part of the YBC® Intention Factor™ Fitness Program and I am finally seeing some results from my consistent efforts, so that always feels good.
I’m still struggling with the cold and the darkness of New England winters, but just trying to stay as positive as I can. Overall, I feel really good and am looking forward to chipping away at my goals in February. I’ve already taken down the custom personal training programs so I can fully focus on my next few ideas: creating a new Business and Marketing Program with all the new information I’ve learned, creating a Pregnancy Fitness Program and Postpartum Fitness Program, and working on the details for a Business Mentorship Program. Cheers to the month ahead!
